TTL Editor is a graphical frontend tool for a Linux iptables feature that allows users to configure a network rule affecting IPv4 packets leaving a specific interface. This functionality can be particularly useful for disguising tethering or mobile hotspot usage.

It is worth noting that this application is currently in beta, and as such, it may contain bugs and incomplete features. Despite this, some users may find it beneficial in its current state.

This tool does not make any changes to files, and all configuration adjustments will be reset upon reboot. Users encountering issues are encouraged to send a logcat to the developer for assistance.

Some prerequisites are necessary to use TTL Editor:

• A working 'iptables' binary is required, although the application may provide its own in the future.
• Kernel support for Netfilter TTL packet mangling for your kernel (xt_HL.ko) is mandatory.

Please note that support for the xt_HL.ko driver is beyond the scope of assistance provided.

The application requests certain permissions, for legitimate purposes:

• Network access permission is needed to retrieve a list of network interfaces on the device along with their IP addresses.
• Root access permission is necessary to execute TTL packet editing operations.
• The 'Start on boot' permission will soon be essential for an upcoming 'set at boot' function.
